Pakistan’s middle order tried to resist for some time but they were unable to deny the defeat in 3rd session of the day. It was Umar Akmal once again for Pakistan. Pakistan needed 250 runs to win the match but they were all out at 218. Shane Bond took 8 wickets in the match (3 in second innings). he lead the NZ attack and bowled very well to see his side win. He was chosen Man of the Match for his brilliant bowling. Ross Taylor too performed well for NZ. He batted very well and was the top scorer for New Zealand in both innings. He score 94 and 59 in 1st and 2nd innings respectively. It was a narrow win for New Zealand though. They didn’t bat well in the 2nd innings and were bowled out at a low score of 153. It was because of their bowlers that they managed to register the victory. Pakistan’s bowling in second innings was very good. Pakistan’s seamers took the attack to New Zealand batsmen and didn’t give them a chance to settle down and make big partnerships. Mohd.
