Indian Skipper MS Dhoni has been banned for 2 ODI’s by match referee Jeff Crowe because of slow over rate during the 2nd ODI between Sri Lanka and India played at Nagpur. The match ended 45 minutes after the scheduled time. Jeff Crowe said that India were 3 overs short. Rest of the Indian team has also been fined with 40% of the match fee. Virender Sehwag has been named as captain for the upcoming two ODI’s in Cuttack on December 21 and Kolkata on December 24. Dinesh karthik is also expected to be included in the squad as specialist wicket keeper. BCCI is expected to make an announcement regarding the same, sometime today. This leaves Indian team into a big trouble. MS Dhoni batted very well in Rajkot and Nagpur ODI’s. he was the highest scorer for India in 2nd ODI at Nagpur. Yuvraj Singh is still recovering from injured finger and flu. Due to this ban, MS Dhoni wont be able to play before the last and final ODI of current series against Sri Lanka in Delhi.
