A good new for the cricket fans in most literate state of Indian, Kochi won the bid for IPL franchise. Bids were opened today at Chennai in the presence of IPL Chairman, Lalit Modi. He later addressed a press conference announcing the the second highest bid in the auction was made by Rendezvous Sports World Limited The bid was of $333.33 million (1533.32 crore Rupees)for the franchise. Rendezvous Sports World Limited is also known as kerala consortium. Vivek venugopal, Shailendra Gaekwad along with the companies like Rendezvous Sports World Limited, Film waves, Parini development project, anchor earth,Anandshah developers. Vivek Venugopal of Rendezvous Sports said: “We are the second highest bidder. We are open to suggestion. Ours is a consortium of number of investors but the names are confidential. I will let you know at the right time.” S Sreesanth, the fast bowler from Kochi(Cochin) said, “God’s grace, it’s great news for me being a Malu. It is a great chance for people who have missed out on chances. Thanks to Shashi and Mohanlal and Preyadarshan. I would love to play for the team. I love Punjab team but playing for your own state team there is nothing like that. I am not hoping to be captain but I would love to play for the team”
