Australia V Bangladesh – Match Preview

The ICC T20 world cup is going very well as all the teams has shown some class cricket and the 11th match is going to be played in between the Australia and Bangladesh of group A. Bangladesh have lost their first game against Pakistan and Australia have beaten the Pakistan in their first match of the World cup so Australia will definitely have the advantage over the Bangladesh. Australia has already ensured that they are not going to repeat their last time failure in this year with the victory of 34-runs over the Pakistan.

Australia

After winning their 1st match against Pakistan the confidence level of Australia will be very high and they will want to continue their victory chariot. The advantage of Australian team is that their major players have performed well in the previous match. Shane Watson and David Hussey posted half centuries against the Pakistan which is the god news for Australia and if they want to win this match against Bangladesh then these two players has to perform well again.

Shaun Tait, Dirk Nannes and Mitchell Johnson have performed well in the bowling area and have shared 8th wickets. Mitchell Johnson is in doubt for this match but if he plays then the pace attack can strike again. Dirk Nannes can also do some for the Australia with this left arm fast bowling and he also got the speed of 150Kph which can destroy the Bangladesh batting line-up.

Bangladesh

Bangladesh will be under pressure as they have lost their first match against Pakistan and they will not want to lose this game as there will be no hope for them if they lose this match against Australia. The main point of consideration for Bangladesh is their bowling attack as they have given 172 runs against the Pakistan. Mohd. Ashraful and Shakib Ali have done well in the last match and took their team to a respectable total of 151.

The batting order would continue to depend on Mohd. Ashraful and Tamim Iqbal as they have the capability of hitting the bowl hard and can take their team to victory. Mashrafe Mortaza and left-arm spinner Abdur Razzaq has to bowl well and stop the Australia from scoring the big total. Bangladesh Captain Shakib is also a good bowling option who has also taken 2 wickets for 27 runs against Pakistan. Victory would not be enough for the Bangladesh as Pakistan have better run rate so they have to win with very huge margin so that they have better run-rate than Pakistan.

The last match of group A will be played in Barbados. Both the teams have some star players who can turn the match at any moment but victory with huge margin can only be beneficial for the Bangladesh. If Australia plays first and score close to 200 then Bangladesh will have no hope in this tournament.
