India v Srilanka 1st Test Ends In A Draw
1st Test of the three test series being played between India and Srilanka ended in a draw. The match was played at Sardar Patel Stadium in Ahmedabad, Gujrat.
Centuries from Sachin Tendulkar(100*) and Gautam Gambhir(114) made sure that India doesnt lose the match. India lost only two of Amit Mishra and Gautam Gambhir wickets today. VVS Laxman was unbeaten at 51 along with Tendulkar.
The pitch at Sardar Patel Stadium in ahmedabad proved to be a batsmen’s paradise making it extremely tough for bowlers to get wickets. Only 21 wickets fell during the 5 days and 7 centuries were hit. This gives an idea about the nature of the pitch. The magician, Mutthiah Muralitharan was wicketless too in the second innings.
